Getting there
Drive & access notes
Signed parking listed on the official park visitor-info / map page. Do not bush-bash to “more sites”.
Vehicle entry fees often apply in Brisbane Water fee areas — confirm live amounts and payment (machines / Park'nPay / passes) on official pages. Hide valuables; busy trailheads attract theft.
Country first
This park protects ancient rock engraving sites, foreshore middens and paintings. Traditional custodians of the Central Coast / Brisbane Water area include Darkinjung and related groups. This guide does not speak for Traditional Owners.
Stay on the viewing path. Teach the rule before you leave the car. If the site is busy, wait — walking on the art is how sites get damaged.
How a short visit actually works
Signed parking is listed on the official park visitor-info / map page. Follow NPWS pins — do not bush-bash to “find more art”. Personal photography from the path is the usual visitor pattern. Commercial photography and weddings need a permit.
Pair with Girrakool Loop if the group still has energy. Do not treat Bulgandry as a drone set or a playground. Recreational drone rules in NSW national parks are set by NPWS — verify official policy before you fly, especially over Aboriginal Places.

Practical tips
- Low sun can make engravings easier to see from the path — still do not walk on them.
- Combine with Girrakool, not a long GNW.
- Say the path-only rule at the car, not at the platform.
- No chalk, water, or rubbings.
Facilities & services
- Signed parking (confirm on NPWS)
