How to get there

  1. Southern / Patonga-side approaches via Woy Woy Road are common — confirm your preferred route on NPWS maps.
  2. Sealed 2WD to standard visitor nodes. No 4WD requirement for the lookout itself.

How to do it (step by step)

  1. Short stop: views, photos, edge discipline. Wind can be sharper than the waterfall rainforest.
  2. Do not scramble for a better cliff angle.

Who this stop is for

Warrah is the estuary-and-headland lookout: Broken Bay / Barrenjoey on a clear day. Pair with Staples for a low-step day, or with Patonga food after. Wind is sharper than Somersby rainforest. Do not scramble for a better cliff angle.

Grip shoes, water and a rain shell matter on sandstone steps — kit searches live on the gear hub, not as an Amazon wall on this walk page.

Extra tips

  • Clear winter-spring days give the longest views.
  • Pair with Patonga fish-and-chips as a meal after the walk — still not a park ferry requirement.

Often paired with Staples Lookout— only if energy and weather allow.
