Say the rule out loud at the car: we do not walk on rock art. That is the whole cultural brief for kids — then the loop is a waterfall-and-lookout walk.

Lock times match Somersby Falls picnic hours. Pay the vehicle fee. No pets. Girrakool Road, Somersby — not the Somersby Falls car park.

Official loop: about 2 km, Grade 3, 30 minutes to 1 hour plus picnic. NPWS “short and easy” still means steps. Andamira is the shady waterfall stop; Illoura is the view.
