Where you start

Bulgandry Art Site signed parking

Signed parking is listed on the official park visitor-info page. Confirm live access, any temporary closures and cultural-site rules on the NPWS Bulgandry page.

How to get there

  1. Follow NPWS map pins — do not bush-bash to “find more art”.
  2. Vehicle fees may apply in fee areas — confirm on the park page.

How to do it (step by step)

  1. Read on-site interpretation. Stay on formed viewing areas.
  2. Do not walk on, chalk, wet, or rub engravings. Do not climb the platform.
  3. Photography from the path is fine when permitted; commercial photography needs a permit.

Who this visit is for

A respectful short stop on Darkinjung Country. Path only. Teach the rule at the car. Personal photos from the viewing path are the usual pattern; commercial photography and weddings need a permit. Do not chalk, wet, or walk on engravings.

Pair with Girrakool Loop if energy remains. Do not bush-bash to “find more art”. Follow official NPWS map pins.

Grip shoes, water and a rain shell matter on sandstone steps — kit searches live on the gear hub, not as an Amazon wall on this walk page.

Extra tips

  • Pair with Girrakool Loop’s engraving site the same day if you want two respectful culture stops — still don’t add a long Great North Walk.
  • Teach kids the rule out loud before you leave the car: path only.

Often paired with Girrakool Loop— only if energy and weather allow.
